We exclusively offer full-planning wedding service for a select number of celebrations each calendar year.

Our approach we have crafted over our fifteen years in business is to take our couples on the journey from where they are currently at in planning when we first sit down together through their wedding weekend. 

We fully plan and design each celebration taking into account EVERY DETAIL to ensure our couples are expertly cared for each step of the way.

We love that every couple we work with brings a different dynamic and energy that surrounds their wedding. We believe in a custom approach by getting to know our couples and curating an experience unique to them. We wouldn't want it any other way.

Through consultations, tailored online planning software, in-depth vendor team selection and vision building and we ensure all events surrounding the wedding weekend align with our couples lifestyle, PERSONALITY, comfort level and budget.

Michelle personally plans and designs each wedding with her couples for a direct relationship. Think of her as your partner, friend, watchful eye, family counselor, trouble shooter, wine tasting date and confidant.

From our kick off planning session over bubbles and bites to walk throughs of your venue and sit downs with your team of vendors Michelle will keep you calm and assured so you DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF and enjoy every moment of your engagement.

The backstory

Owner, Michelle Bernard, established Married with Michelle in 2006. Michelle is passionate about providing her clients with truly unique and fresh events by listening to their ideas, creating personalized touches and seamlessly managing all the intricate details. Her event management and communication skills paired with her approachable and calming demeanor has instilled lasting relationships among clients and sought after venues and vendors. 

Michelle's professional background in event planning spans the past 15 years and stemmed from diverse positions in public relations, marketing and corporate social responsibility for Microsoft and Expedia. Michelle holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Washington. Go Huskies!

Giving back

In 2008 Michelle, along with an incredible group of women, founded Get Hitched Give Hope, a non-profit organization that was Seattle's premiere bridal charitable giving event held annually at the Four Seasons hotel in downtown Seattle for eight years in a row. A wonderful night of festive cheer through silent and live auctions with the tag line, Get Gorgeous Goods for YOUR Wedding While Giving Back.

Formally a Ballard-ite born and raised, Michelle now resides on Vashon Island, a picturesque and peaceful stretch of island just a hop skip and a jump from downtown Seattle. A mini Pacific Northwest destination for you and your guests to explore and enjoy with an abundance of unique venues. Sprawling waterfront estates, chef run working farms, wineries and cider distilleries, immaculate gardens, an historic lighthouse, modern pavilion in the heart of town and much much more. Curating relationships with island vendors also brings an abundance of talent for cuisine and catering, sweets, tenting & rentals, music, transportation, lodging and beyond.
